I have wrent my garments; I have adorned myself with sack cloth and ashes; Penance for my sins. Evil people speak kind words, they deceive many with their call for ecumenism. If all religions are the same, if all beliefs are true, then I must be a fool, because I can not follow their road that leads to damnation. No - I will seek after the rocky path the way that leads to eternal life. The devil watches me - examines my every move; his fiery darts are aimed at me to trip me up, that I may lose sight of the truth. But I will keep my eyes on Jesus, my savior, He will protect me. The Spirit will lead me home; the Mother of God will intercede for me, and I will follow the example of the saints and martyrs. As an outcast in this pagan world, I find strangely enough courage! The courage to stand up for my faith and my God. I will not falter - I will not compromise - for if I do, better for me to have never known the truth. For surely a dog returns to his vomit, but I am not an animal... I am a child of God, with childlike faith and in all humilty I will throw myself on the mercy of God.
