So poor a follower of Christ am I, I am a victim of self, my own worst enemy. I continuously thwart the will and plan of God in my own life and seek to diminish it for others. So concerned with how people perceive who I am, I put on a shallow show of religious piety to impress everyone, even God. But alas, He sees right through - right though my veil of error, right to my heart, which aches with the pain of a wounded ego. How shallow I am; I lay traps for myself and then fall headlong into them using religion as bait - I blame others or even the devil for my misfortunes and, even, my sins; when at the heart of all my problems is... me, myself, and I.
