Soldiers of Christ at 6680 Crestway Drive, San Antonio, TX 78239 US - About the Soldiers of Christ

About the Soldiers of Christ
This page outlines the history of our organization, and our mission. A need arose to gather young Catholics together to better their faith. In November of 1995, permission was received from beloved Pastor, Monsignor Robert Silverman to form a group suited to the need of young Catholic adults. Twelve responded to the call and attended the first meeting of many for the Soldiers of Christ. Throughout the years, membership has grown to over 40. The group includes singles, married couples and divorcées. Meeting weekly, every Monday night, various topics are discussed and many listen to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church as explained by Monsignor Silverman. Social and service-related activities are also at the base of the Soldiers. Today we have a thriving group of young adults who have made the commitment to become more involved in their church and to learn more about their faith. It's a fun and exciting environment to meet new friends and get closer to God. Our Mission The Soldiers of Christ's mission is divided into three parts:
  • Education of the faith to young Catholic adults
  • Service to the Church and community
  • Provide a Catholic social setting for young adults
